The Naming Principles Commission proposed guidelines for future naming decisions and recommended the creation of an advisory committee to inform such decisions.
UR will be divided between the 14th and 16th Virginia Senate districts and 78th and 58th House of Delegates districts starting in 2023 as a result of Virginia’s redrawn congressional maps.
Students, faculty and staff will no longer be required to wear masks while actively exercising in the gym and students will not be required to wear them in residence halls.
The Commonwealth of Virginia dropped three felony charges on Jan. 7 that were brought against UR sophomore Kyle Kressler on Oct. 25, according to district court records.
The hearing was continued from Nov. 16, 2021 to Feb. 1, 2022, according to documents obtained by The Collegian from the district court.
The incidents were reported to have taken place in the Gray Court dormitory at 5:55 p.m. on Oct. 23, according to the UR Police Department crime log.
During her time at UR, Hunt was a first responder for UR Emergency Medical Services and president of the women's club soccer team. In order to support herself financially, she was also a stripper.
Jeffrey Legro, UR executive vice president and provost, announced on Aug. 23 that UR would offer no blended teaching options for the school year.
UR will also create a survey for faculty, staff, students, alumni and parents to voice their opinions, according to the July 29 email sent to the community.
