Men's basketball and women's track and field make improvements but other Spiders face losses.
The women's and men's tennis teams lost their season openers, the men's basketball team accumulated two more wins and more in the world of Spider sports.
The women’s basketball team beat University of Maryland, Baltimore County with a score of 76-64, improving this year's record to 2-2.
After 11 months of no competition, the Spiders opened up their season with a 19-10 win over Radford.
Senior Brooke Fazio finished first in the 800m, turning in a flat track time of 2:05.70.
The first years on the team are Carly Cohen, Annika Juergens, Sara Salemyr and Polina Shitikova. These players have a variety of skills to bring to the team.
