Before Wednesday night's men's basketball game against Dayton University, five Richmond seniors were honored in a pre-game ceremony for senior night. The seniors combined to score two points in Richmond's 82-71 victory, both coming from an emphatic dunk from Francis-Cedrick Martel. Junior Darien Brothers scored a game-high 30 points and freshman Kendall Anthony added 20 points off the bench. The team now heads into Atlantic 10 Conference tournament play, with its first opponent yet to be determined.
SpokenSilence, University of Richmond's only creative writing club, hosted its first event of the year, a poetry jam, in the Brown-Alley Room of Weinstein Hall, Friday, Feb. 24. The program, co-hosted by the Cultural Advisers, featured an open mic for all Richmond and Westhampton students to share any sort of creative writing, including raps, songs and other verse.

I enjoyed reading the abroad experiences that many of my fellow classmates had abroad, and I agree with most of them. I studied abroad in Madrid in fall 2011, and it was a great experience academically and socially.
