University of Richmond Emergency Medical Services (UREMS) wants to make sure you know what to do in a medical emergency. To begin National Collegiate EMS Week, this small group of trained, student first responders held CPR classes over the weekend of Oct. 30, culminating in an informational advertising and competition Monday in the University Forum to mark National Collegiate CPR Day.

NORFOLK, Va. — Richmond tied the game at 28 during the fourth quarter thanks to a one-handed touchdown catch by wide receiver Stephen Barnette, but then Old Dominion scored two straight touchdowns to win, 42-28. The Spiders have now lost six straight and are now 3-6 this year. Richmond's defense, missing three starters before having another one leave the game on crutches, gave up 587 yards of offense to the Monarchs.

The Maine Black Bears came back from a 16-0 deficit to score 23 fourth-quarter points and win, 23-22, Saturday afternoon. It is Richmond's fourth-straight loss, all coming in Colonial Athletic Association play. Richmond was in range of a long field goal with under a minute left in the game, but quarterback Aaron Corp was sacked for 11 yards to put the Spiders at the Maine 44-yard line. His next two passes were incomplete to seal the victory for the Black Bears.

TOWSON, Md. &mdash The University of Richmond football team lost, 31-28, to Towson University in Towson, Md., Saturday night off a game-winning field goal. The loss is the Spiders' third straight, all to Colonial Athletic Association opponents. Richmond quarterback Aaron Corp earned CAA Player of the Week for his performance, completing 31 passes on 34 attempts for 353 yards and two touchdowns.

The University of Richmond football team suffered its first loss of the season Saturday evening, 45-43, to the University of New Hampshire. The game was the Colonial Athletic Association conference opener for both teams. The Spiders scored 20 points during a fourth-quarter comeback attempt, but the Wildcats scored 28 points during the second quarter, which proved too much for the home team to overcome.
