GALLERY: Community gathers for silent protest at Board of Trustees meeting

University of Richmond students, faculty and staff gathered for a silent protest on March 26, 2021 outside of a Board of Trustees meeting at the Stern Plaza. The board announced on March 17 its decision to not rename Mitchell-Freeman and Ryland halls after the UR Black Student Coalition advocated for the names of Douglas Southall Freeman and Robert Ryland to be removed from the buildings.
