Happy Monday Spiders! While we may not have snow days to look forward to this week, we do have plenty of fun events and activities on campus. Here’s a taste of what to look forward to:

UR Micro-Farm tasting and education event

Try samples from the UR Micro-Farm and other snacks on Wednesday, Feb. 26. The Office for Sustainability is hosting an event in the Robins School of Business from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. with micro-farm samples and information on how Lou’s incorporate the harvests into their meals. For more information, email haley.herrmann@richmond.edu

Red out men’s basketball game against VCU

The UR Men’s Basketball team will play against rival team VCU on Tuesday, Feb. 25. Make sure to wear red in support of the Spiders at 7 p.m. in the Robins Stadium. More information here

Volunteer in the Eco-Corridor for Invasive Species Awareness Week

Learn about Richmond’s invasive species and how to manage them during Invasive Species Awareness Week (Feb. 28 - March 9). On Friday, Feb. 28, from 12:30 to 3 p.m., Laura Greenleaf, a certified Virginia master naturalist, will discuss local conservation efforts in the Eco-Corridor. After the talk there will be an optional volunteer session to help remove invasive plants! You can register here

Make your own coptic journal

The Book Arts Studio in Boatwright Library is hosting an event where you can make your journal. Using centuries-old bookbinding techniques, the Coptic binding is versatile and lays completely flat. During the workshop you will make your own 96-page journal with board covers, and no period bookbinding experience is required. You can learn more information and register for the event here

Trivia night!

SpiderBoard is hosting a trivia night at the Whitehurst living room on Saturday, March 1, from 7 to 9 p.m. Sign up to participate and win prizes here
