Mise En Place Chinese New Year Virtual Cooking Class
Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Love to cook? This virtual event could be perfect for you. Mise En Place, a cooking school in Richmond, is hosting a virtual cooking class led by chef Christine Wansleben to celebrate the Year of the Tiger. The menu includes Money Bag Dumplings, As You Wish Vegetables, tangerine beef, shrimp cakes and Chinese walnut cookies. The cost to register is $25 and you can find more information here.
UR vs. VCU Women’s Basketball Game
Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Cheer on the Spiders at the National Girls and Women in Sports Day Celebration presented by Carmax. The Women’s Basketball team will be facing its rival, Virginia Commonwealth University, 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Robins Center. After the men's basketball team’s loss against VCU on Saturday, this game could be redemption for the Spiders.

For February's First Friday: Spider Sneak Peak, the leaders of the inaugural Bench Top Innovations course will be holding a live panel discussion on developing a food product and bringing it to market. The discussion will be moderated by Robins School of Business Dean Miguel Quinones and Marketing Professor Joel Mier. Center of the Universe Brewing Co. Chocolate Fest
Saturday from noon to 9:00 p.m.
The Center of the Universe Brewing is hosting some of Richmond’s finest chocolatiers and bakers as well as artisan gifts and handcrafted jewelry. This event is the perfect place to pick up a special Valentine’s Day gift. For those over 21, be sure to check out the limited edition Box of Chocolates Stout and other variants that will be served.
