Quarterback Kevin Johnson went 29 for 40 with 297 yards Saturday in a loss at Stony Brook. 

Football

Sept. 22: Loss 36-10 at Stony Brook

Richmond lost its first game of conference play against 19th-ranked Stony Brook. Redshirt junior quarterback Kevin Johnson went 29 for 40 with 297 yards. The Spiders’ record fell to 2-2. 

Soccer 

Sept. 20: Loss 0-1 at Fordham

The Spiders took Fordham into double overtime but lost on a goal in the 107th minute. 

Sept. 23: Win 2-1 vs. Saint Bonaventure 

A pair of first-quarter goals from junior Brooke Beam and sophomore Olivia Tripodi led the Spiders to their first win of the season. 

Field Hockey

Sept. 21: Loss 2-7 at VCU 

Despite a pair of early goals from juniors Elise Zwicklbauer and Hannah Loos, the Spiders fell to their conference rival. 

Sept. 23: Loss 0-4 vs. Wake Forest

Wake Forest scored all four of its goals in the second half. Richmond's season record fell to 3-7. 

Men’s Tennis 

Sept. 21-23: Elon Invitational in Elon, North Carolina

Juniors Matt Fernandez and Klein Evans led the Spiders, each going 3-1 in singles competition.
