Women's basketball loses close game to La Salle

Richmond's Micaela Parson shoots against La Salle defenders in the second quarter. 

Richmond's women's basketball team hosted La Salle in an Atlantic 10 game on Wednesday night. The Spiders lost in a close game, falling to a 9–10 record (3–3 conference record). 


Richmond freshman Amy Duggan watches as La Salle’s Amy Griffin misses a 3-pointer with 0.01 seconds left in the first quarter, which the Spiders won 14–12. Duggan finished with just two points in 22 minutes, but grabbed six rebounds and made two blocks. 


La Salle’s Lisa Mintzer defends Richmond’s Ragan Wiseman in the second quarter. The Spiders trailed 30–28 at the half. Wiseman finished with seven points and two steals.
