UR Police sends second timely warning email regarding a sexual assault this week

Faculty, staff and students received their second timely warning email regarding a reported sexual assault this week early Sunday morning.

The reported assault occurred during the overnight hours on Jan. 29, 2016, somewhere along fraternity row on campus, according to the email.

On Thursday, UR Police sent an email notifying the community that a reported assault involving a known individual occurred during the overnight hours on Jan. 22, 2016.

This year students have received six timely warning emails regarding reported sexual assaults, which are required by law.

About one in five women is sexually assaulted in college, according to many studies.

Richmond is one of the more than 100 colleges and universities in American under federal investigation for a reported Title IX violation.
