University of Richmond Police Report: April 6, 2015 - April 13, 2015

Dating Violence

A Westhampton college student and a Richmond college student were reported to the URPD for dating violence on Friday, April 10, 2015. The incident occurred at the Robins Center and no assault charges were reported. The incident did, however, result in a head laceration.

Credit Card/Automatic Teller Machine Fraud

A Westhampton college student reported $2,400 worth of fraudulent credit charges to the URPD on April 8, 2015. This case is under active investigation and could result in a fraudulence charge.

Destruction/Damage/Vandalism of Property

The concrete driveway outside of Westhampton freshmen dorm Lora Robins Court was reported to the URPD as being damaged on Tuesday, April 7, 2015. The damage was made to the bricks surrounding the dorm, a result of white spray paint being used to paint fraternity coolers, Police Chief Beth Simonds said. At this point no students have been charged with vandalism for this damage.

Pig Roast Recap: Saturday, April 11, 2015

Sexual Battery

A timely warning email was sent to all students on Pig Roast regarding a sexual battery charge. Sexual battery, which is a less severe charge than rape, occurred at an unknown location on campus, according to Chief Simonds. The victim was a female UR student and there is no other available information at this time.

Public Drunkenness

A Westhampton college student was arrested for public drunkenness and possession of fake identification on Saturday, April 11, 2015. The arrest was not made by URPD but was instead made by another police jurisdiction.

Unauthorized Party

The 1100 block of the University Forest Apartments was cited for having an unauthorized party on Pig Roast and was referred to University of Richmond's dean's office.

Ambulance Response

Two different ambulance calls were made on Pig Roast which resulted in one student being transported to a hospital with the other student declining medical treatment. Because of legal restraints, further information on the medical treatment of ambulance calls cannot be released.
