Richmond hires Tracy Woodson as new baseball coach

University of Richmond are expected to announce the hiring of new head baseball coach Tracy Woodson, according to multiple sources.

Woodson, who is originally from Richmond, has been the head baseball coach at Valparisio since the 2007 season.

Woodson will replace Mark McQueen, who resigned on June 20th. McQueen was suspended in May before the season ended.

Woodson played Major League Baseball from 1987 to 1989 for the Los Angeles Dodgers and from 1992 to 1993 for the St. Louis Cardinals. Woodson won second team All-American honors and ACC player of the year while at NC State.
