Gov. Mitt Romney, Republican Presidential Candidate, will be speaking at a rally inside the Robins Center at the University of Richmond this Sunday, with doors opening at 2:15 p.m. and the rally starting at 4:15 p.m.
The Romney campaign team is paying to rent out the Robins Center during that time, as the university cannot sponsor any presidential candidate, said Linda Evans, assistant director of media and public relations for the university. This is different from when President Barack Obama visited last September because that wasn't a support rally, she said.
Tickets for the rally are free and can be reserved or printed out at www.mittromney.com/VA. Free tickets can also be picked up in person at the Henrico Victory Office, North Chesterfield Victory Office or South Chesterfield Victory Office.
Sunday will be a busy day at the university, as it's also when NBC will be on campus, with anchor Lester Holt scheduled to host "Today" from an on-campus location. More information on that will be made available soon.
Obama will be in the Richmond area on Thursday afternoon in Byrd Park, according to multiple reports.
