It's that time of year again! That lovely time when we all obsess over our relationships, or lack thereof. With Valentine's Day just behind us, the CAPS interns are here to help you strike a balance between all of your relationships, romantic or otherwise.
Meeting the demands of classes and homework on a daily basis can be stressful and time-consuming on its own, but when you throw your personal life into the picture it can become too much to handle. It's not an easy task to maintain relationships with your parents, siblings, boyfriend or girlfriend, friends from home, friends from school and countless others.
The key is to not get overwhelmed, because not all hope is lost! Never underestimate the power of effective time management, even when it comes to your personal life. This week, the CAPS interns challenge you to make a little time for everyone important in your life.
For those of us living away from home, it's easy to lose touch with those we left behind and become wrapped up in our Richmond lives and relationships. Unfortunately, it's pretty common for our parents to fall into that category. So this week give Mom or Dad a surprise call to make their day!
And in the spirit of the week of Valentine's Day, don't get too caught up in your school work and do something special with your special someone. If you don't have that someone special, don't fret! Instead of dwelling on the fact that you're not in a romantic relationship (as it's common to do around Valentine's Day), find something extra fun to do with your friends! And just remember, when you take a step back and make a little bit of time for everyone it's easy to keep all of your relationships happy and healthy, and above all to keep yourself happy and healthy.
