"Dexter" is an amazing show. It's engaging, interesting, well shot, and Michael C. Hall is perfect as the title character, Dexter Morgan.
There is, however, one flaw that has irritated me endlessly throughout the series: Debra Morgan doesn't know how to curse and it is the worst thing that ever happened, ever.
Her character thinks that she can string together any of George Carlin's seven dirty words and use them in any situation, regardless of what grammatical function they are fulfilling!
In the wise words of Walter Sobchak, "this is not 'Nam, there are rules." If you make a grammatical error, you might sound slightly uneducated.
But, if don't curse correctly, you sound like a goddamn idiot!
As much as I want to, I can't give any examples of Deb's cursing here, but if you watch the show you should know what I mean.
Beyond her ineptitude in the field of cursing, Deb might be the most selfish character in the show, even more so than Dexter.
When confronted with any situation, Deb twists it until it becomes about her. She has no redeeming qualities. Some people say that she is attractive, which can definitely be a redeeming quality on a TV show.
I disagree with those people. I'm not saying she's unattractive, I'm just saying that the only way she would be appealing is if she were wrapped in plastic sheeting on Dexter's killing table.
And, to be fair, it's not really her that would be appealing, just the prospect of her dying.
I feel I should also mention the Super Bowl halftime show. It was awful. The Black Eyed Peas do not work well as a live group.
If you are going to have a live show, play music, DJ, sing worth a damn, do something other than choreographed dancing to your studio tracks!

It wasn't even that great visually. Fergie butchering "Sweet Child of Mine" was about as much as I could take, and I'm not even a Guns 'N Roses fan.
I have to say that some of the commercials were amusing. I personally liked a few of the Doritos commercials, and the Best Buy commercial that said Justin Bieber looked like a girl.
Whether you were betting on your team, betting on the commercials, betting on whether the next tackle would be made by an odd or even numbered jersey, or just rollin' some dice at halftime, I hope you had fun on Super Bowl Sunday.
That's my opinion, and if you don't agree with it then you're wrong.
