Letter: Kick the students out of Robins Stadium

I thought I was going to get over this, but the more I think about it, the madder I get.

I am fortunate enough to have tickets to the Richmond Spiders football games this year, but unfortunately, that also provided me with the opportunity to witness one of the most pathetic examples of student spirit I have ever seen.

I'm not sure how many seats there are in the so-called "student section," but by the third quarter of last week's game, it was empty. What a waste of seating capacity.

What a self-absorbed and over-indulged group of apathetic human beings the Richmond student body turns out to be. I guess they all had to get back and update their Facebook pages.

They certainly do not deserve to continue to be the cause of all of that wasted space in the future. Mr. Miller [athletic director] -- please consider opening that section up as General Admission to provide the opportunity for individuals to attend the games that are actually interested in supporting the Spiders.

What's the point of having home games if your fellow students provide a disincentive to perform. They disgust me.
