• The springtime steeplechase horse races at Foxfield outside of Charlottesville, Va., are this Saturday. While the jockeys and horses will race beneath the April sun and across the springtime greenery, spectators will race to the nearest Lilly Pulitzer and Brooks Brothers to sport the most pastels and patterns. They will also full-on GALLOP to the liquor store. What, the beer isn't for the horses?

• NASCAR speeds back to Richmond International Raceway April 30 for the Nationwide Series and May 1 as part of the Sprint Cup Series. While the athleticism of NASCAR is always up for debate, no one can argue the fact that the races are always a great opportunity to people-watch -- a sport on the rise. Bust out the camo, fire up the grill, crack open a cold one and enjoy Amurrica.

• The Boston Celtics took Game 2 against the Miami Heat Tuesday, leaving Quentin Richardson wondering what hurt worse, the KG elbow from Game 1 or the 29-point trouncing from Game 2.

• Redskins quarterback Donovan McNabb recently encouraged the team's coaching staff to sign free-agent wide receiver Terrell Owens. Were Owens to reunite with his old foe McNabb, it would be the fifth team the controversial Owens has played for in his 14-year professional career. But hey, this time it's going to work.
