University of Richmond communications sent an e-mail to all students, faculty and staff this afternoon to confirm that all classes had been cancelled as of 10 a.m. and that the university is closed.
The Weinstein Center for Recreation and Wellness will close at 2 p.m.
Boatwright Library will remain open on its normal Wednesday schedule.
The Michael Kimmel lecture at 7 p.m. tonight will be held as scheduled in the Tyler Haynes Commons
All dining locations will be open until 7 p.m. except for The Cellar, which will be closed.
The campus bookstore is open until further notice.
Members of the campus community can call the Emergency Hotline (289-8760) for weather updates or check on the university Web site.
The university events calendar has been updated with all cancellations.

Because of poor road conditions caused by the snow, all classes at the University of Richmond have been canceled for Wednesday, Feb. 10.
