The University of Richmond athletic department has chosen its new head football coach and will announce the decision at 4 p.m. today during a press conference in the Robins Center.
The Spiders' previous coach, Mike London, signed a five-year contract with the University of Virginia on Dec. 7. The search for a new coach began as soon as London announced he would not return to Richmond.
Many sources have reported that the new head coach may be Latrell Scott, a 34-year-old former Richmond assistant coach, who most recently served as the wide receivers coach for the University of Virginia and the University of Tennessee.
This afternoon's press conference will be streamed live on richmondspiders.com and is also open to the public.
