Q: What genre of music are you most interested in and how did these interests develop?

A: Ever since the '90s I have been interested in hip-hop, listening to the radio and rap CDs on the bus to school as well as after school. Trance is also one of my favorite types of music. Going to a techno concert is awesome.

Q: Have you ever pursued your musical interests?

A: Never pursued music, although DJing at parties / shotclub is always fun.

Q: Who is your favorite artist?

A: Gang Starr is my favorite rap group. They use great beats and the lyrics are very powerful.

Q: Is there any artist who has a particular influence on you?

A: Not really. I do have respect for talented artists.

Q: Who do you listen to now that you do not think many people on campus would know about?

A: SOJA - great reggae group whose music is very relaxing. People Under the Stairs - very upbeat hip-hop that you can't help but love.

Q: When do you find yourself listening to music the most?

A: I listen to music any chance I get. When I wake up, before I go to bed, doing work and driving. I like to start the day right with '80s tunes; get myself in a good mood to begin the day. When I want to wind down or just relax, I prefer reggae. Driving fast or long distances I usually play techno to get myself going and pumped up. When I am just cruising around campus or getting a party started, I like to listen to rap/hip-hop. I also prefer rap when I am not in the best mood.
