The University of Richmond men’s and women’s cross country teams will compete in the Atlantic 10 Championships in St. Louis, Mo., on Oct. 31. Twelve runners on each team will be allowed to compete in the meet next Saturday.

Freshman Katie Spratford finished 14th at the U.S. Cross Country Championships, putting her in the running for a bid to the World Championships. Meanwhile, freshman Tim Smith finished 37th in the men’s race.

In the most important race of his life, junior Matt Llano finished 176th out of a field of 252 at the NCAA cross country championships in Terre Haute, Ind., on Monday.
