Richmond came back to within five points late in the game, but Saint Louis was able to hold on and hand UR its first conference home loss, 56-46.
The Spiders shot poorly in the first half, frustrated by the tough Saint Louis defense, but are down just 23-19 thanks to 11 Billikens turnovers.
Richmond had five players score in double digits and Xavier missed some key free throws down the stretch, as the Spiders pulled out the win, 73-71, on Saturday.
