Richmond and Virginia State Troopers arrested multiple Virginia Commonwealth University students Monday night, firing tear gas and pepper spray to break up a pro-Palestine encampment in a chaotic clash on its Monroe Park campus.

“He would be the kind of person that would drop what he was doing to come help you,” Thomas said. “And I think that type of dedication to your friends, or family or people you love? That’s something that you have to hold onto and treasure because now, people don’t make themselves available like that, which is understandable, but he really did.”

The Plain White T’s opened with “Our Time Now,” and immediately after they finished, the crowd began to chant for “Hey There Delilah.” After a brief competition to see how loud each half of the crowd could sing, the Plain White T’s followed with “Young Tonight,” “All That We Needed,” “Fired Up” and “Should’ve Gone to Bed.”
