In a short blip of time, King captured A-10 Conference Player of the Week honors on three separate occasions, he won A-10 Co-Player of the Year and he made the A-10 First Team All-Conference, as well as the A-10 All-Academic Team.
At the beginning of the spring semester, the University Facilities announced in an email that the bridges connecting the Richmond and Westhampton sides of campus would be indefinitely closed for repairs. For months, students have been waiting for the bridges to reopen.

“He would be the kind of person that would drop what he was doing to come help you,” Thomas said. “And I think that type of dedication to your friends, or family or people you love? That’s something that you have to hold onto and treasure because now, people don’t make themselves available like that, which is understandable, but he really did.”
